Broadcast on WGN Channel 9 in Chicago, the Trianon Arena wrestling show featured the United States TV champion Verne Gagne, multiple AWA world heavyweight champion, AWA promoter and owner, and future hall-of-famer for the WWE, WCW, among others.  Here the Minnesotan Gagne defeated Reggie Lisowski, "The Crusher" out of Milwuakee, in the 1st two of 3 falls to win their match, while the tag team of Allen and Woods beat DeMetri and Malkov.  Rossi won over Rodgers and Carter over Stoich.
