Boxing in international venues because of continuing legal and sanctioning difficulties in the States, Ali faced the Commonwealth titlist Cooper for the second time in their illustrious careers. "The Greatest" proved his worth once more, as a bad cut suffered by the British challenger ended the bout in the 6th.  In one 10-round affair on the undercard, the Louisville slugger and Ali traveling partner Jimmy Ellis quickly defeated the powerful Fijian Waga, knocking the South Pacific islander out in the 1st, while in another, the super middleweight Pritchett, unbeaten in 20 previous appearances, took down Kramer in the 8th on a TKO.  In shorter match of only 8 rounds, West Ham's own Tibbs won his 5th over Calderwood when the Scotsman did not return to the ring after the 2nd, despite going down twice himself in the 1st.
