Fritzie, the finest of the 5 fighting Zivic brothers that included Eddie, Joe, Pete and Jack, faced off with the Augusta National shoeshine for the 2nd time, battling for a full 12 rounds to redeem his loss in 10 to the world lightweight titlist Beau Jack in February at the same venue.  Unfortunately for the Pittsburg pugilist, though scored closely, the bout went to the Georgian Jack by unanimous decision.  The NYSAC World Lightweight crown that former polisher on the Masters' Golf Course captured from Larkin at the Garden in December was not as stake in either fight due to Zivic's size.  The long fight on the undercard offered serious action between the powerful lightweight New Yorkers Terranova and Al Guido, going 8 rounds to a decision for Terranova, while the pair of mid-length matches had the grizzled veteran "Young" Gene Buffalo damaging the record of the middleweight Jolson, boxing out of Binghamton, while Flores, from Jamaica in Queeens, and Brooklyn's Levine called it a draw at the end of their 6.  The 2 shorter contests set Jackson against Dyes, again with no satisfactory outcome, and Yelavich in the ring with Rogers, so that the lightweight from Rochelle Park in New Jersey could take the win over Harlem's Rufus.
