  With the announcement in September of his retirement from the WBO super middleweight crown, which he had held for a record 131 1/2 months, the world body's November convention seemed an appropriate time to pay tribute to the undisputed, undefeated and masterful Welshman with a Sardinian sire, Joe Calzaghe.
