With roles as a television and B-movie thug (1955's "Creature with the Atom Brain") in his future, Karl Davis sought the wrestling ring as a stage, contending on the NWA circuit, here appearing in Houston for a match with "Goon" Henry.  Both men were featured performers with followings of their own.  This event at Houston's venerable City Auditorium is missing from extant records of the period, so the undercard for the evening is not known.
