 On the excellent undercard in a 10-round bout the Argentine middleweight contender Roldan knocked out Philly's own "Animal," the southpaw Fletcher, in the 6th.  No clown, the lightweight "White Lightning" Charlie Brown took the full 10 rounds, but in the end won the unanimous decision over the previously undefeated "Rootin' Tootin'" Newton, raising Brown's record to 19-0-0.  In the second match of Southwestern lightweights in the year, Phoenix's "La Cucaracha" Roach faced Las Cruces, New Mexico's Louie Burke, who was undefeated in 15 appearances, and Roach could not stop him again.  In a short bout early in his career, light middleweight contender Santana knocked out the hapless Gonzalez for his 18th win in 20 fights.
